The Role :

As a People & Culture Generalist, you’ll be working with the P&C Team to ensure our organization continues to grow and learn in a positive manner.

You love solving different problems, and easily make strong and lasting relationships across the organization. You’ll become the go-to person whenever there are employee questions.

As an experienced Generalist, you’ve experience with (and enjoy) recruitment, as well as building different learning programs.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Collaborate with the Manager, People & Culture and executive management on the company’s efforts to define and develop its culture
  • Develop and execute the next generation Cymax experiences including initiatives that expand engagement, celebrate passion, and promote career success
  • Implement and drive initiatives that impact talent retention, engagement, and career development
  • Execute recruiting strategies to build effective networks and relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of top talent
  • Identify, recommend and implement projects designed to enhance employee experience and improve process
  • Update, develop and implement human resource policies and best practices
  • Coach leaders and managers to understand and execute on the levers that drive engagement, foster an inclusive environment, and create a great experience for people working at Cymax
  • Execute and maintain employment brand standards across multiple channels
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers as needed for coaching and counseling to help with career development or developing teams
  • Identify, recommend, develop and facilitate appropriate training sessions for staff and leadership development
  • Who you are :

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a fast paced HR department
  • Post-secondary degree / certificate in HR Management
  • Technical recruiting experience is an asset
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion
  • Well versed in current employment legislation, BC Employment Standards Act, market trends and human resources best practices
  • Exceptional communication skills verbal, written and oral
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Flexible attitude and ability to manage priorities to meet changing business requirements
  • Strong customer focus and proven skills in building relationships with employees and management
