Course number and title : CCT110H5S Rhetoric and Media

Course description : This course critically examines the written, visual, aural, and dynamic rhetoric as it pertains to communications for academic and other purposes across a range of digital and interactive media discourses.

Estimated TA support : 60 hours

Estimated course enrolment : 580

Class schedule : Thursdays 11-1 and 1-3

Sessional dates of appointment : January 1 to March 30, 2019

Salary : $46.08 Writing Instructor I rate.

Minimum Qualifications :

Preferred Qualifications : Preference is given to Writing Instructors with previous experience with CCIT students. Teaching writing and communication skills in the Social Sciences are required including : 1) Experience working one-

on one with students at a post-secondary institution. 2) The ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a collaborative setting.

3) The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Description of duties : Duties involve one on one instruction with assisting students to develop their writing skills.
