The Purpose of theRole
Underthe supervision of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager isresponsible for ensuring the management of the store as well asproviding excellent customer service.
Replacing the manager whenshe is absent, the Assistant Manager must contribute and helpachieve the global objectives and maintain the La Vie en Rosestandards all while motivating and developing a dynamicteam.
Coordinateactions with the store manager to ensure the continuity and wellfunction of store operations while she isabsent;
Participate in maximizing efficiency andprofitability of the store;
Greet customers, answertheir questions and advise them on technical features, advantages,quality and materials of the merchandise ;
Train theemployees on best sales techniques and productknowledge;
Collaborate in determining sales objectives,insure they are reached and exceeded. Communicate the necessaryinformation to the team so they can achieve the salesobjectives;
Support the Manager in analyzing salesresults;
Assist in effectively managing wage coststhrough proper scheduling and employeeperformance;
Follow administrative procedures and La Vieen Rosepolicies.
Always be aware of thecompetition and the market tendency;
Build a regularclientele by promoting the La Vie en Rose image and brand and alsoby developing contacts in the retail industry;
Identifythe type of in-store clientele as well as their needs andwants;
Participate and work with the malladministration.
Help to build astrong team : recruit, prepare and train the next generation byidentifying the best potential candidates for variouspositions;
Motivate the team; create a positiveenvironment, look for excellence and develop a sense of belongingand pride to work for La Vie en Rose;
pass on the La Vie en Rosemission and vision to the team;
Participate in theemployee’s performance evaluations;
Help plan workschedules, communicate them to the employees and controlabsenteeism and tardiness;
Act as a role model in everysituation.
Know themerchandise and the product’s technicaldetails;
Coordinate the store’s merchandise to beattractive and functional by following the company’splan-o-grams;
Help plan the reception of the stock andinsure the visual set-up is done in a timelymanner;
Participate in the management of the store’svisual image and the maintenance of the store and backstore.
Beable to fully understand and use all functions and reports on thecomputer;
Know, understand and use the procedure manualsof various departments from Head Office;
Proceed to theopening and closing of the store;
Efficiently manage allstore expenses;
Follow all policies and procedures ofthe company in all areas of security and lossprevention;
Execute all other relatedjobs.
