As Onsite Search Specialist you provide tactical and / or operational guidance and support to the Digital Marketing, eCommerce and IT Teams to optimally support the product discovery and selection processes on Future Electronics eCommerce website.
The Onsite Search Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day onsite search, discovery and cross-selling initiatives for Future Electronics globally.
As Onsite Search Specialist you will drive improvements in the overall customer experience, move customers deeper into the site (revenue per search, product page views per session), and optimize the search to cart conversion funnel.
The Onsite Search Specialist will coordinate these actions between the Digital Marketing, Digital Product Marketing & Operations, eCommerce and IT Teams.
Monitor and react to changes in site search and taxonomy performance across platforms based on web analytics. Focus on key metrics such as number of zero results searches, product views from search / taxonomy, revenue per search and conversion through search funnel to drive improvement;
Perform competitive analysis to identify best practices and improvement opportunities;
Evaluate search and taxonomy for usability improvements;
Score search results based on relevance, array of brands, customer rating, etc.;
Create dashboards for current onsite search performance (top level and detailed keyword analysis);
Drive process optimization regarding search / taxonomy based on the capabilities of available tools;
Perform frequent & ongoing search tuning and make adjustments based on trends and relevancy;
Configure and test searches by way of technical / administration interfaces;
Manage search redirect efforts, thesaurus entries and zero search results and top search exit pages;
Address null and / or low-performing search results, and identify opportunities for improvement;
Work to continuously to improve day-to-day functionality of the customers; online search experience;
Keep abreast on up-to-date user experience (UX) search trends and best practices across all industries;
Provide insights and advice at request or at own initiative and challenge management and colleagues based on information regarding own specialism (e.
g. the most suitable products for online with the marketing business unit teams) using developments and trends of Online Marketing and Online Marketing best practices;
Ensure all periodical and ad-hoc reporting on eCommerce development, own insight delivery activities and realization, and elaborate to managers on interpretation;
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor s degree and 4 - 6 years of relevant experience with a background in eCommerce;
Experience with Enterprise based search and navigation capabilities B2C & B2B sites (including Oracle Endeca, SOLR, ElasticSearch, etc);
Search relevance tuning experience as well as benchmarking;
Experience with Hybris B2B / B2C platform a plus;
Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written;
