As a full time General Helper , you are responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes.
This position is safety sensitive and will require Drug and Alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
This position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Washing, scrubbing, cleaning, and sanitizing designated kitchen and dining areas :
Kitchen and dining room floors and tables
Refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
Pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as required
Deep cleaning as required
Restocking and rotating desserts, sandwiches, beverages, and condiments
Assisting in loading, unloading, and placing supplies and inventory
Ensuring health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained
Other duties as assigned
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum 6 months’ kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge setting
Ability to prioritize multiple demands and organize a work schedule
Strong customer service focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude
Ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player
Ability to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds
Successful candidates MUST obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
