Miles HR has an excellent permanent full time opportunity for a Property Accountant to join a small and thriving Property Management Company located in Downtown Vancouver.
You have accounting experience in commercial, residential and rental properties. You bring a passion for accounting, solid problem solving skills and value and embrace team work.
This role reports to and supports the Controller.
About The Role :
Assist controller with monthly, quarterly and annual operating statements, preparation of all required information
Prepare annual budgets and recovery calculations and lease input for portfolio of residential and commercial properties
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts receivables
Work with development, construction and property management to understand various projects scope and complexity
Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations
Assist with tax audit, support month-end and year-end
Monthly bank reconciliation, GST filing, GL account reconciliation
Performing additional accounting functions as assigned
About You :
Minimum 5 years general accounting experience
Minimum 2 years accounting experience in property management industry
Excellent Excel and MS Word office suite experience
Ability to work independently and with a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Calm working under tight deadlines
High attention to detail
