ClearStream Energy is looking for you. As an Instrumentation Technician you are responsible for working with a wide variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer devices used to measure and control pressure flow, temperature, level, motion, force and chemical composition.

This is a full time, permanent position that will be based out of our Grande Prairie Fabrication Shop; you must either reside in Grande Prarie currently, or be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie.

What You Do :

  • Consult manufactures manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures.
  • Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults.
  • Practice loss management principals. Consult with and advise process operators.
  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts.
  • Complete risk assessments.
  • Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Work with engineers on basic design.
  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes.
  • Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Who You Are :

  • Able to use proper lifting techniques to lift between 50 75lbs.
  • Have good communication and reading skills.
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
  • Ability to do careful and exacting work.
  • Be able to work in working conditions that may change dramatically.
  • What You Bring :

  • Experience in construction and Pre-commisioning
  • CSTS
  • Alberta Journeyman Certificate or registered Apprentice with a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience on an industrial or construction site as an Instrumentation Technician.
