Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

Using your knowledge of wireless communications and your experience with radio frequency systems, you will participate in the macro, micro and in-

building systems tactical planning of TELUS' Radio Frequency (RF) networks.

Our work has evolved from planning a few large projects, to planning hundreds and thousands of network elements such as small cells clusters and band additions, therefore resources with programming and big data mining skills are an asset in order to facilitate high level studies.

Here’s how

  • Participate in developing TELUS wireless strategy and plan network activities with various cross-functional team members
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting to support the network build
  • Drive the use of analytics to achieve business objectives in accordance with TELUS goals
  • Develop business models using machine learning algorithms and big data mining to support the proposed plan and activities
  • Create business cases for prioritizing network build activities
  • Populate databases with the plan while ensuring data integrity
  • Develop methods, processes and tools to facilitate network planning
  • Maintain a deep technological understanding of TELUS wireless UMTS / HSPA and LTE networks
  • Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • General understanding of the current mobile radio technologies and experience with wireless infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of accounting and finance : net present value (NPV), direct participation program (DPP), internal rate of return (IRR)
  • Solid understanding of mathematical modeling and machine learning
  • Solid knowledge of programming languages and databases
  • Ability to work efficiently in a cross functional team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and project management skills and experience with a variety of technical projects
  • Experience in solving problems massive and complex data sets
  • Ability to drive engineering projects autonomously
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a specialization in telecom preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an RF Engineering group
  • Above experience must be on a live UMTS / HSPA and / or LTE network
  • Great-to-have

  • Master’s degree
