PROJECT LEAD / SPECIALIST
The Project Lead / Specialist will report to the Program Delivery Lead and support the end-to-end delivery of the project's deliverables involving high complexity and many cross-functional and stakeholder dependencies.
Project Details : This person will be supporting the project SBSD for TD Securities. Security Based Swaps Dealer Regulation has been modified and updated.
This person will be joining during the initiation and execution phase on the business side.

Major Stakeholder accountabilities will include :
The candidate will be able to transform a high-level vision and complex concepts into solutions with detailed requirements and efficient execution design.
They will have demonstrated the necessary leadership skills to support the program with a proven ability to develop others, build relationships, communicate effectively at varying levels, and negotiate and influence to drive delivery.
Supporting Leadership / Management in managing a diverse range of stakeholders to meet program requirements and project objectives
Providing leadership to technology and business partners to turn requirements into delivery with analyses and recommendations for solutions that meet business objectives with in a timely and cost-effective manner
Providing timely updates on project status, analyses and findings to senior management and various stakeholders
Major Business Operations accountabilities will include :
Conduct ongoing oversight and review to ensure effective implementation of deliverables and strategic infrastructure through requirement building and stream planning
Provide support to management by leading stakeholder management activities and communication through stream deliverables
Provide leadership and support to active stream deliverables through engagement with partners in technology and MRMD
Understand and manage cross-stream interdependencies
Assisting the Project Delivery Lead with tracking project tasks, dependencies, and requirement gaps (ensuring traction and resolution on all items)
Identifying and escalating issues to the appropriate individual(s) / group(s) to ensure prompt attention / resolution
Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met
Ensure projects are delivered based on agreed scope, agreed timeline and approved budget
Ensuring all infrastructure build activities are supported by adequate documentation
Develop skills and experience to lead future large change initiatives
Qualifications / Skills / Experience :
In-depth familiarity with TD Securities businesses and infrastructure
In-depth familiarity with market risk valuation concepts obtained through previous experience in a capital markets function
Prior experience with delivering major regulatory programs and / or infrastructure implementations
Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, to consistently maintain high levels of integrity, motivation and morale.
This should encompass all aspects of people development including appropriate mentoring, coaching, and ongoing evaluation of staff performance and leadership skills.
Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts and obtain clarifications as necessary when discussing requirements

Superior organizational skills (must be able to identify and track project dependencies & blockers, ensure proper resolution of outstanding items, document meeting minutes and takeaways in a clear and concise manner)
Established rapport with various stakeholders throughout the bank
Advanced Excel data manipulation skills (ability to derive findings / conclusions from large datasets and trouble-shoot errors)
Experience with Python or other programming languages would be considered an asset
Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and manage time effectively
Flexibility to be able to adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous or changing conditions
Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations for business decisions
Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
Prior experience in organizational change management activities
