McCormick Canada is currently looking to hire an Assistant Product Manager to join our Marketing team on a 12-month contract.
This position can be located at either or Mississauga or London, Ontario office. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans for product segments that support market share, sales volume and profit objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Support the delivery of P&L objectives, with guidance from the Group Marketing Manager
Closely monitor and analyze sales volume, market share and competition to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement
Develop and coordinate consumer support and creative with agencies
Assist with the completion of the business review & annual plan by analyzing historical performance against targets, developing business building ideas and gaining buy in from leadership and the Sales team
Develop and present clear recommendations and innovation launches to multiple stakeholders and levels of seniority
Lead cross-functional teams (project management) independently, including the commercialization process of new product launches, product changes and / or product deletions
Develop and manage the brand A&P budget with guidance from the Group Marketing Manager
Work with Demand Planning to project accurate volume forecasting, including long term volume projections with guidance from the Group Marketing Manager
Qualifications Required :
Bachelor of Business Administration degree, preferably with a Marketing Major
Minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of Marketing experience, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
Strong track record of driving results and leading successful projects
Good ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Self-starter that perseveres despite tight timelines, complexity and challenges
Business acumen that goes beyond marketing required
Demonstrated success championing business initiatives and gaining buy-in with senior-level management preferred
Experience turning data into actionable insights, preferably with P&Ls, consumption & shipment data and marketing campaigns.
Strong leadership and problem solving skills with bias for action, ability to multi-task, be resourceful and adaptable
General knowledge of marketing principles and advertising tactics with high learning agility
Strong experience with digital marketing and social platforms
Good written, communication, and presentation skills required
High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
