The inventory will be updated every 30 days. You will receive a written notice in your PSRS Applicant Account 5 days before the end of your active period to confirm whether or not you still wish to be considered for an additional 30 days.

It is your responsibility to keep your personal data in your PSRS Applicant Account up-to-date and to check your email account regularly to ensure that you do not miss out on any opportunities.

Intent of the process This inventory will be used to staff Administrative Assistant positions at the AS-02 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations that will vary depending on the needs of the position being staffed.

Job offers resulting from this inventory will be either permanent (indeterminate), specified period (term) appointments, part-time worker or casual employment.

Candidates will be randomly selected* from the inventory for assessment purposes.

  • Random selection is a strategy that is sometimes used to manage applicant volume. It identifies a sub-sample of applicants by applying the element of chance using criteria identified by the hiring organization.
  • The Public Service Resourcing System - the electronic system used to advertise this job opportunity and receive and select applications - will perform the random selection function in this process.

    Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and / or Outlook.Experience in the provision and coordination of administrative services* to a manager and / or team.

  • Administrative Services is defined as, but not limited to : the collection and consolidation of information for the production of various reports, coordination of document approval, planning and coordination of meetings, drafting minutes, monitoring expenses and maintaining a budget, managing schedules and emails and other related duties.
