Job Family Group :

Strategy & Change Strategic initiatives execution (70%)

  • Lead or contribute to the successful implementation of both strategic and BAU initiatives by partnering with lines of business (LOBs) and GAM executive and senior management team;
  • complexities of initiatives are high and they may involve multiple stakeholders across the enterprise

  • Accountable for the implementation of initiatives on time and as agreed with sponsors; developing project plans to keep key stakeholders informed of progress
  • Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation, raise issues with key stakeholders and offer solutions;
  • redesign processes to improve and enhance delivery where appropriate

  • Identify and provide recommendations to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize project delivery
  • Stay connected to industry best practices for consulting, strategy, design and change leadership trends, and applying them to business engagements
  • Perform analysis and develop business cases to assess opportunities
  • Apply a structured approach to facilitate problem solving, identify root causes, and guide partners to make informed decisions
  • Partner with other areas of the organization internally and / or external stakeholders as required to facilitate the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives
  • Design and implement ideas and contribute to business strategic priorities, aligning with overall enterprise vision
  • Prepare communications to help launch and support initiatives and contribute to training support
  • Management Reporting (30%)

  • Develop effective tracking tools / reports and establish processes to track project status and reporting of initiatives to provide up to date information and insights to business leadership team
  • Proactively drive and implement improvements to enhance reporting to elevate insights
  • Utilize tracking process to ensure advancement of initiatives within GAM as well as those in partnership with other Operating Groups
  • Review tracking results to identify trends and insights, and support business growth and innovation opportunities
  • Knowledge :

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial industry
  • University degree is essential; MBA beneficial
  • Consulting experience beneficial
  • Proven track record and experience in development and delivery of strategic initiatives impacting people, processes and technology
  • Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management
  • Skills :

  • Highly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across multiple levels of the organization, across lines of business, across various BMO FG companies and with external partner
  • Superior interpersonal skills and leadership capability, including impact and influence capabilities
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate key messages to senior management team in a precise and convincing manner
  • Proven ability to implement strategic vision, with an exceptional ability to navigate the corporate environment to deliver results
  • Strong ability to navigate through ambiguous environments to lead initiatives and deliver results with minimal subject matter expertise
  • Highly developed project management skills and business case development
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Results oriented and is able to work under minimal direction
