By joiningour team, your role as junior engineer will be to participate in engineeringmandates in automation, instrumentation and control.

You will also contributeto various phases of engineering and site work. As such, you may be asked tohelp with preparing proposals, technological choices and solutions proposed toclients.

More specifically, you will be askedto :

  • Develop and maintain lasting client relationships.
  • Listen to clients and meet their high expectations.
  • Participate in defining the scope of projects and proposals.
  • Allocate and review the work of technicians and drafters assigned to projects.
  • Assess the technical scope of projects.
  • Get involved in commissioning
  • Technical aspect

  • Prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (P&IDs, localization drawings, I / O, loop and motor control schemes, cable and instrument lists, installation details).
  • Draft reports, specifications, including construction and purchasing specifications, and calls for tenders.
  • Prepare datasheets and select control instruments (flow, pressure, level) and valves.
  • Provide technical assistance during construction work (electrical / instrumentation).
  • Perform inspections or technical surveys.
  • Help program PLCs, DCSs and operator interfaces.
  • Client service

  • Interact with clients and provide technical support to the team in charge of business development.
  • Establish and maintain client contacts.
  • Establish client needs and identify new needs throughout the project.
  • Participate in commercial and technical proposal preparation.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering in automated manufacturing, electrical engineering or other equivalent training
  • Four years or less of relevant experience
  • Member of a Canadian professional engineering association
  • Experience designing instrumentation and control
  • Experience in control system programming (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
  • Available for short- and long-term assignments at client offices or sites
  • Asset : Bilingual (English and French) spoken and written
  • Asset : Interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering on a project in the mining or energy sectors
