We are looking for a Bilingual Pension Specialist

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations : Toronto, London, Winnipeg or Montreal.

Reporting to Teresa Van Loon, Associate Manager, Pension Administration, you will be responsible for providing Defined Benefit pension plan members with information regarding the company pension plans upon hire, at retirement and / or upon termination of employment.

You will also be accountable for completing pension calculations and preparing pension packages based on contract provisions and required legislation.

What you will do

Prepare pension packages and complete pension calculations in relation to retirements, terminations, marriage breakdowns and death claims (includes correspondence and meetings with members and non-members to ensure they understand their options)

Answering inquires from employees, former employees, and retirees

Perform administrative functions, processing and tracking final payouts and set up of retirement and deferred elections

Complete pension estimate calculations and marriage breakdown calculations at the request of members and former members

Ensure that the company pension plans are administered according to the provisions of the plan documents and according to legislation

Create and manage i-Sight cases

Project work as required

What you will bring

Pension or other retirement-related product experience

Strong mathematical aptitude

Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail

Bilingual (English / French) is required

Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to clearly explain difficult concepts

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Experience with pension administration software platforms

In-depth knowledge of pension legislation in all provinces is an asset
