IT Project Manager We have a new opportunity! Position Overview : Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Lead the delivery of information technology projects into the J.D. Irving businesses through all stages of the project life cycle from original concept to implementation
  • Champion strong IT governance in the project management methodology and mentor project managers in its development and continuous improvement
  • Responsible for all IT project requirements and artifacts, such as scope, schedule, cost, resourcing, risk, change and quality management
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
  • Manage communications related to the project at all levels of the organization and across businesses; including executive levels
  • Proactively engage in coaching and mentoring of team members to help staff reach optimal level of performance and foster a working environment open to new ideas and innovative solutions
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provide a single point of contact for those projects Position Requirements, Education and Experience :
  • Position Requirements, Education and Experience :

  • Education Required : Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, MBA preferred
  • Years of Experience Required : 3-5+ years of project management and IT experience with demonstrated career progression
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering major IT enabling projects, including ability to influence and facilitate working within and leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent leadership, people and process management skills with proven success of optimizing delivery in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to organize, analyze, interpret and evaluate problems and provide solutions with the right sense of urgency
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels within the organization

  • Influence decision making of stakeholders with sound judgment and analytical supportPreferred Qualifications and Competencies :
  • Lean Six Sigma experience would be considered an asset
