What is the opportunity?

The Director, GTI Business Operations provides input into the governance of GTI programs on cost savings, automation and efficiencies, working with senior management to provide the structure and definition to effectively manage the teams across GTI and works with senior management to define and execute operational frameworks, processes and tools, and utilize organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff across GTI.

This role has four key accountabilities :

  • GTI efficiency and automation targets and the programs to achieve those targets
  • GTI business management governance and processes
  • SPP business office execution
  • GTI supplier billing management, including identifying and realizing savings through vendor billing issues and errors
  • What will you do?

  • Provides input into the governance of GTI programs on cost savings, automation and efficiencies, working with senior management to provide the structure and definition to effectively manage the teams across GTI
  • Leads and provides oversight for major deliverables that enable the effective and efficient operation of SP&P
  • Works with senior management to define and execute operational frameworks, processes and tools, and utilize organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff across GTI.
  • Manages the activities of two teams within the business unit, enabling the teams to meet operational objectives, implement changes to processes, tools, and methods that result in increased agility and effective cost management.
  • Leads the direction and vision for the team, coaching and mentoring the team and / or team leaders / managers
  • Contributes to, drives and executes on the vision, strategy, mandate, and target operating model for GTI business management and efficiency targets
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership in the optimization, efficiency and capacity planning of operations associated with assigned teams.
  • Provides executives and senior management with timely updates on project issues and manages communications including status reports.
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have :

  • Undergraduate degree in technical field or equivalent (e.g.
  • BASc or equivalent)

  • 10 to 12 years of related experience
  • 4 to 7 years of people management experience
  • Strategic mindset and strong people development coaching experience
  • Nice to have :

  • MBA, CA, CMA preferred; Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification; Solid business knowledge and experience.
