In this hands-on production environment position you will support the manufacturing and distillation processes through thorough working knowledge of the manufacturing and distillation equipment.
You must be comfortable with working in a fast pace, non-stop continuous process manufacturing environment where you will be required to operate the equipment safely and efficiently in order to ensure the equipment remains up and running.
You will be working within tight timelines to produce product and trouble shoot issues that arise.
Oversee the manufacturing and distillation process and its key elements in :
o Pot distillation
o Extractive distillation
o Multiple Effect Evaporator systems
Operate a computer based process system (Distributive Control System) in order to produce quality distillates from various grains
Complete work in Windows based operating software packages (computer training will be required)
Take Quality Control samples and perform Quality Control tests throughout the distillation process
Assume the emergency response role as required during the unsupervised off shifts (e.g. Fire, Medical Emergency, C.P.R.
and First Aid Training)

Familiarity with Chemical Industry unit operations

Proven analytical skills and ability to effectively problem solve
Ability to perform repetitive tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures

Required : High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred : 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate, Chemical Production & Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent processing experience
