Our client is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for a 3 month contract in Moncton, NB !

Responsibilities :

  • Create a repeatable and reusable automated DB structure and test bed of data. The expected results are : Reduced preparation time for testing cycles Reduced errors in data loading / preparation Ability to quickly return to a known restore point
  • The resource will need to understand the pros and cons of the attributes of Oracle Databases, Docker, Containers, Flyway, etc.
  • to : Identify and assess the pros and cons of options for delivery of the solution Develop the strategy, solution Build the initial reusable databases Work with the Storage team to develop the back-

    up and restore processes in a way that makes them easy to manage, automated, and efficient Work with the Application Development teams to load the test data Work with the other teams to develop a sound source control practice

  • Provide complete documentation for the DBA team and cross-train the DBA team
  • Must-Have Qualifications :

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle 12.1 and Oracle 12.2
  • Strong understanding of creation and management of Oracle databases in a Docker / Container model
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Nice to Have Qualifications :

  • Good understanding of Flyway structure scripts
