The Connectivity portfolio is a major financial contributor to the overall BBM results. The Senior Finance Manager plays a critical role as a business partner focused on improving the Gross Margin trajectory.
The mandate is to manage a team that will produce financial data that will lead to profitable growth and drive the business forward.
This role liaises with multiple teams across BBM therefore strong strategic and analytical skills and business acumen are important.
Job Duties / Accountabilities :
Lead the Financial Reporting and ad-hoc analysis of the Consolidated Connectivity results to influence business decisions.
Advise the Product and Marketing teams on customer and product related trajectories.
Assist the National Footprint Strategy team with the fulfillment of their on-net migration initiatives.
Work with Business Partners to improve Gross Margin trajectory.
Pro-actively manage the strategic imperatives and pursue opportunities to bridge any plan gaps
Lead the BBM Revenue Assurance team to maximize recovery opportunities
Lead the Consolidation of the Connectivity Forecasting and Semi-annual Planning exercises, including key performance metrics.
Partner with Product & Sales Finance in the fulfillment of such exercises.
Initiate and implement process improvements across the team.
Support a team of 2-4 Managers
Critical Qualifications / Competencies :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably with a professional designation.
Results oriented - proven ability to provide strategic, analytical and critical insight.
Detail-oriented, with strong capacity to organize and synthesize large amounts of information to facilitate the decision-
making process for the senior management team.
Strong leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to guide and coach the team to attain greater levels of performance. Proven ability to engage and motivate staff and be recognized as a business partner by main stakeholders.
Constantly striving to improve deliverables & proactively enhance existing processes & systems.
Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with ability to work under pressure.
Ability to diagnose business problems, successfully resolve issues and deliver solutions in a timely manner
Ability to manage tight deadlines, multitask effectively over multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Flexible work ethic especially during the critical periods.
