We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist to join Royal Columbian Hospital located in New Westminster, BC .
Build on your education & experience as you :
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to respiratory therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and providing support initiating / maintaining mechanical ventilation support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation, and daily care of patients as prescribed.
Maintain documentation by ensuring reports, records and workload statistics are complete and accurate according to established departmental standards.
Participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals, therapeutic / diagnostic strategies and program related issues.
Participate in quality improvement activities such as the development, implementation and evaluation of written procedures and standards, development of assessment forms and patient materials, and program descriptions as required.
Participate in and provides various in-service education for staff and community as required.
To join the organization we require you to have :
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
One year recent related experience in an acute care setting.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C. Possession of and maintained Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
This is a relief part time position and will be available until May 2022 or until the return of incumbent.
