Outline of Duties

The Operational Sales Administrator is responsible for overall management of customer data for the Sales department, the exchange of information with key partners, and the accuracy of the information contained in integrated systems.

At a time of transformation, the Administrator analyses current business practices and recommends improvement initiatives to meet the organization’s efficiency and information accuracy goals.

He / she also acts as a systems expert and advises all stakeholders on the handling of complex files and special projects.

He / she provides leadership in the application and governance of policies to promote harmonization, the customer vision and data accuracy.

Specifically, the position’s main duties are :

  • As an expert in integrated systems and data management, support sales teams in resolving complex requests or special projects
  • Review and implement sales data management and governance policies to promote effective and timely processing of requests
  • Provide leadership for the Sales department in the management of master processes such as the annual pricing review, cyclical maintenance of customer data, and the migration and / or integration of IT systems
  • Run diagnostics on main sales data management processes and make recommendations on improving information quality and information management efficiency
  • Represent the Sales team to key partners such as Finance, Credit, Master Data and IT
  • Define KPIs and see to improvement and follow-up
  • Develop training materials and support Canada Operations as expert trainer
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or another other relevant field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process development and work reorganization in sales or another relevant area
  • Thorough, a self-starter, a team player with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Good command of process mapping and workflow software, such as Visio
  • Ability to learn integrated systems, such as ERP, SAP, JDA
