How will you make an impact?

You will prioritize and assist the coordination of work activities in a cross functional Processing area. This position also provides leadership and support to Processing staff while ensuring the manufacturing of high quality products.

This includes hands on processing, process troubleshooting, training new operators and assisting Supervision in meeting compliance requirements as well as continual monitoring of area to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards are met and adhered to.

This role requires the ability to work all 3 shifts (weekly rotation) :

Midnight : 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Afternoon : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Day : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

What will you do?

Essential Functions :

  • Provides leadership and training to all levels of staff. Assisting in reviewing, revising and developing and training departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other work instructions as required
  • Prioritizes the activities of the technologists based on the schedule and ensuring GMP and Safety practices are followed
  • Provides assistance to Processing Manager and Supervisors with employee issues and provide performance feedback as required.
  • Help implement process improvements

  • Utilizes technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment, process issues, source actions and investigate deviation reports
  • Coordinates documentation and batch set up verification
  • Performs calculations for potencies
  • Audits and monitors batch document entries to ensure they are completed accurately and timely
  • Orders parts and supplies
  • Ensures scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is performed on equipment in coordination with Maintenance Department. Ensuring instrumentation, calibration and other routine monitoring activities are performed and recorded
  • Performs processing technologist duties as required (break coverage) or to help with schedule adherence
  • Keeps Visual Boards up to date
  • Leads Department huddles on a daily basis
  • Maintains and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the Department and socialize the weekly results
  • Leads and champions transformational activities within the department and act as a change leader on a continual basis
  • Provide support in monitoring performance measures and notify management of potential quality or regulatory issues that may affect product quality or regulatory issues.
  • How will you get there?

    Requirements :

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of experience in granulation, compression or coating with good working knowledge of dispensing
  • Competencies :

  • Mechanical interest / aptitude
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (approximately 40 lbs at minimum)
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Working and troubleshooting knowledge of all process trains within 1 functional area, but cross-training in other functional areas required
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • In depth experience with schedule management
  • Proficiency with the English language
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment with limited supervision
  • Ability to perform shift work
  • Equivalency :

    Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered

    Physical Requirements :

    Work requires moderate physical exertion. Regularly lifts medium weight objects by hand. May require recurring bending, crouching, stretching, or reaching.

    Or may frequently operate equipment, including keyboard and must walk, sit, or stand immobile for prolonged periods
