We are seeking a Life Insurance Advisor to join our team.
The Life Insurance Advisor provides professional and comprehensive insurance planning advice to high value members referred by branch, commercial or wealth management teams.
This role completes a review of the member’s current level of insurance coverage and provides recommendations that meet the member’s life cycle needs for today and the future.
This role will proactively seek business development opportunities with current and potential members to promote life and / or disability insurance products as well as credit union subsidiary products and services.
This role also provides leadership, education, and coaching to branch employees on relevant insurance products and services, as required.
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day :
Key Accountabilities :
networks with external business organizations in the community to generate referrals; pursues relationships with potential new members and actively promotes the full range of FW products and services through participation in community initiatives and events.
seeks opportunities to assist members in consolidating their financial assets with First West; conducts follow-up interviews with members on at least a bi-annual basis to identify changes in circumstances that would require alternate insurance option.
maintains compliance with First West audit and risk management policies and procedures. Keeps up to date with the changes surrounding Life Insurance and Wealth Management practices.
schedules and facilitates product knowledge sessions with members and / or branch employees; provides input into the performance evaluation for assigned support staff.
sets up and maintains accurate member files.
