ParcelPal is looking for dispatchers! We are looking for highly motivated , organized ,

and reliable individuals to join our team and dispatch a fleet of delivery associates. This is a

ground floor opportunity to be part of a growing, publicly-traded technology and logistics

company.

This position does not require in-person training and can be done from home.

There are both part-time and full-time, permanent positions with the potential to move on to a management role.

Duties Include :

  • Monitoring dashboards to ensure drivers complete their routes on time with minimal packages returned
  • Communicating with drivers and customers to ensure delivery targets and special instructions are met
  • Assisting in managing driver performance
  • Enforcing compliance of standard work
  • Providing end of shift reports to management
  • Assisting supervisors with capacity management and vehicle maintenance planning
  • Updating staffing schedules and timesheets, coordinating additional training
  • Taking full accountability for the inventory of equipment and ensuring all equipment is returned at the end of the shift.
  • Other duties as assigned according to your proficiency .
  • All applicants must satisfy the following requirements :

  • Minimum age : 19
  • Excellent interpersonal skills : ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and coworkers.
  • Must be tech-savvy .
  • Pass Criminal background check
  • Strong geographic knowledge of the Greater Vancouver Area.
  • Must be coachable and have a willingness to continue training and upgrade skills relating to dispatch and fleet management.
  • Excellent English, both oral and written communication skills required .
  • Knowledge of stress management , conflict resolution , team leadership and sense of comradery are essential to your success in this position.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail .
  • Ideal Candidates :

  • Will have a post-secondary education (diploma), preferably in Operations or Supply Chain Management.
  • Preferably 2- years work experience in operations or logistics
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 and other Office related tech.
  • Familiarity with Worksafe B.C. / Employment Standards / Ministry of Transportation policies & regulations.
  • Experience doing deliveries yourself. Nothing beats knowing the job you're asking someone else to do.
