The National Director, Maintenance & Technical Programs will lead the program development, implementation and sustainment of maintenance standards and compliance for BGIS.
This role will support account FM and teams and lead a core team of CMMS / CPMM specialists and coordinators. This leader will ensure that the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) team oversees process compliance, update / optimize job plans, plan & coordinate maintenance schedules and identify and solve issues.
This role has ownership of systems / processes and oversees the activities related to CMMS / CPMM including maintaining data integrity, data extraction, analysis, audit and works with relevant stakeholders to develop, enhance and implement procedures, policies, job plans, labor loading and other related requirements.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Development and optimization of corporate processes and standards including governing policies and continuous improvement of the process of delivering preventive maintenance and technical programs.
Leads the development and implementation of new maintenance initiatives i.e. Building Operations Audits, Centralized PM Management (CPMM), Equipment Maintenance Manuals, Static Technician Standards and Predictive Maintenance Programs.
Development, enhancement and optimization of Equipment Maintenance Job Plans.
Vendor management strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Scheduling of work including labor loading to balance work between BGIS technicians and vendors.
Responsibility for Equipment set up forms and procedures.
Responsibility for work order generation and issuance procedures for Preventative & Compliance Maintenance.
Leads team in developing forms and processes to manage programs (i.e. halocarbon compliance, data acquisition, etc).
Communicates and trains operations staff within BGIS.
Ensures data integrity and quality in CMMS including an audit system.
Leads implementation of CMMS and CPMM for new clients and Account expansions.
Day- to-day training, development, mentorship and management of CMMS and CPMM teams.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Demonstrated technical expertise in maintaining building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, elevators, etc.
University graduation or professional certification in related discipline with minimum of 10 years of relevant job experience
Demonstrated experience working with a large computer based maintenance management system and ideally across a portfolio of facilities incorporating detailed job plans and sophisticated scheduling and work order issuance.
Experience in developing and enhancing the system itself working with I / T team to make upgrades and changes and / or interface in 3rd party systems
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading a team, including virtual teams working from locations across Canada
Strong computer proficiency and specifically experience with sophisticated integrated CMMS systems.
Strong data generation, audit and analysis skills.
Strong people development and mentoring skills.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence as opposed to authority.There is a requirement to effectively work with the delivery organization within the client groups and the Technical Service team.
Licenses and / or Professional Accreditation
Membership in Plant Engineering & Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC)
Certification as Maintenance Management Professional (MMP)
Technical Designation (Trade License, CET, P.Eng, MMP, etc)
