POSITION SUMMARY :
The National Warranty Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Service and Warranty department, liaising with internal and external customers, and ensuring the department runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, a related program OR equivalent experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
3+ years’ experience in a Warranty Administrator or Service Writer position
Experience preparing and opening / closing work orders
Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Mechanical aptitude or previous exposure to a heavy equipment work environment is an asset
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Ability to organize, multitask and plan work efficiently
Positive and collaborative attitude
Good verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional customer service skills
Ensure optimal efficiency and customer service
Work with factory representatives to ensure 100% capture of all warranties
Work with the accounting department to ensure factory accounts are in good standing
Ensure on-time billing for all warranty claims
Process warranty claims for all products within North American branches
Resolve and / or escalate and report warranty patterns and concerns
Maintain positive customer relations
Ensure all reasonable billing is accounted for prior to closing work orders
Assist with the return of defective parts to various factories as requested
Assist with the processing of credits for warranty claims
Recovery of inbound and return freights for warranty parts
Assist with Parts department as required
Follow-up with factories on unpaid claims
Follow-up with all branches on WIP
Reconcile factory statements and aging report
Assist with the distribution and follow-up of Technical Bulletin updates and recalls
Complete additional tasks as assigned
