Responsible for managing and allocating the merchandise to stores for a division. Using the merchandising system and various software technologies, the Allocation Analyst will translate the sales & inventory plan into an inventory allocation plan by store.
The Allocation Analyst will ensure optimum inventory levels in stores to maximize sales and margins.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Commerce or other related specialty is an asset.
Experience in retail is an asset.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Merchandise Systems is a definite asset.
Ability to analyze and understand quantitative data.
Strong prioritization skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible for determining the ideal merchandise profile in order to meet the financial objectives of the company.
Reviews and analyzes weekly store performance / inventory levels; share findings and proposes actions to ensure optimum store inventories and flags issues to the Planning and Allocation Manager.
Develops analysis tools in partnership with other departments to ensure store needs are fulfilled and all processes are efficient.
Allocates new arrivals based on the assortment plans, sales trends and store needs.
Reviews styles performance on a weekly basis and reacts as needed.
Ensures reserve quantities are allocated through the automated replenishment system.
Reviews transfer opportunities for in season products and executes accordingly in a timely and cost efficient manner taking into consideration store capacity.
Supports specialized store assortments (space, weather, sizing, volume, etc.).
Attends monthly meetings with Planning and Allocation Manager to review collection in order to ensure that assortment is planned and allocated as per Planning and Allocation Manager’s vision.
