Responsible for the support to the CanAtom Project Controls Director for oversight of the Darlington Refurbishment Project Controls functional department.
Will also be identified as the Project Control Manager for the RFR Project. Work to support improvements to standardize, implement, train and oversee execution of all project controls processes and systems (payroll time collection for trades and field non-
manual, billing, etc.) across the project. Will supervise Project Control personnel and ensures that all Project Control activities (project estimating, risk, cost and schedule management) comply with all company standards and contractual requirements..
Review schedules, estimates, and cost reports.
Maintain timely and effective cost management processes, procedures and systems.
Maintain timely and effective estimating processes, procedures and systems.
Maintain timely and effective schedule management processes, procedures and systems.
Maintain timely and effective on project transactional accounting management processes, procedures and systems.
Advise management of developments that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.
Maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
Prepare and oversee change management plans.
Identify and evaluate quality risks that may have an impact on the project. Implement appropriate mitigation actions.
Identify Project Control process improvements.
Facilitate, evaluate and maintain historical information. Use information to produce Project Controls system improvements.
Participate in presentations.
Manage Project Controls resources.
Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
Maintain timely and effective administrative processes, procedures and systems.
Ensure the maintenance of periodic status reports to keep management (both CanAtom Infrastructure and both parent companies) and or the Owner informed on the projects progress.
These reports may include labor productivity, schedule status, financial analysis, etc., reports on EPC activities that are a part of the work.
Participate in commercial contracts development, change order management, and negotiations.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills,
computer skills with Microsoft Office products and corporate standards.
College degree or equivalent experience.
8 to 10 years industry experience.
3 to 5 years experience in construction and engineering coordination.
3 to 5 years experience in Project Controls.
