Here are the minimum qualifications you will need :
High school diploma or GED
1+ years’ experience installing and / or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTVsecurity systems with a basic understanding of electronics, wiring, local and national codes
Valid state driver’s license without restrictions
It would be awesome if you had some of these qualifications, but they aren’t required :
Vocational / technical degree in electrical, security, or computer systems
Bosch (Radionics), DMP, Honeywell Vista, or similar Intrusion Alarm systems
Lenel, Prowatch, Software House (C-Cure), Genetec, or similar Access Control systems
Firelite, Silent Knight, FCI / Gamewell, Notifier, or similar Fire Alarm systems
Avigilon, Samsung / Hanwha, 3xLogic, Bosch, or similar Video Surveillance systems
IT / Networking Certification or ESA Certified Alarm Technician
Here’s how you can make an impact as a Technician at STANLEY Security :
Perform scheduled and / or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment / systemsunder contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating system and equipment to ensure it’s in satisfactory working order
Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assists with contract retention
Maintain knowledge of industry changes and new developments in products and technology
Assist with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and make adjustments needed to ensure the system is operational
May plan schedules and / or lay out basic electrical equipment installation
