Your role As a Legal Assistant, your primary objective will be to provide administrative assistance and clerical support to legal counsel as well as in Labour and Employment Law in our Montreal office.
More specifically, you will coordinate office activities, as well as establish priorities and urgent procedures for legal counsel.
You will provide assistance throughout all stages of legal proceedings, compile basic data to facilitate requests for information.
You will prepare, send and follow up on all procedures and case documents with the parties involved, including serving and filing with the various Courts and ensuring that deadlines are met.
You will maintain agendas; arrange meetings, travel and conference calls; and fill out expense accounts and keep copies.
You will also type, review, copyedit and carefully proofread a variety of documents as weel as all other tasks associated with a legal assistant position.
You will also be called upon to provide assistance to the Health and Safety in Montreal.
