Preparation / Review of periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessments of existing Operational Activities
Review of operational incidents, support Operations to resolve the error at hand and tracking the implementation appropriate protocols to mitigate the risk of reoccurrence
Conducting Third Party Risk Assessments and Change Risk Assessments on new services and / or activities
Production of various periodic and ad-hoc Operational Risk Reporting including statistical / trend analysis, remediation tracking and KRI / KPI management
Monitor staff adherence to compulsory Risk training programs and roll out training as required
Maintenance of risk systems
Conduct deep dive risk assessments or other projects as required
Study new and emerging international regulations relating to risk management
Work with the Director, Operational Risk and the Head of Risk to continuously assess and improve
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in operational risk management in a financial institution or compatible experience
Experience with and advanced understanding of risk frameworks and methodologies, incl. Risk and Controls Self-Assessments, Risk Assessments of new products / services, Third Party Risk Assessments
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for risk management
Experience in roles requiring product and process management & implementation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience in data visualization tools and risk systems preferred
Fund Administration experience preferred
Influencing and leadership skills
Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline would be preferred
