Job Description :
In order to carry out his / her duties, the holder of this position works to prevent fires and accidents by the checks he / she performs aboard ships and in workshops.
This person acts as a resource when the time comes to authorize work that is dangerous in nature.
Answer emergency calls and various assistance requests when required;
Control and extinguish fires using equipment made available;
Inform and educate workers on safe work procedures;
Cooperate in verification of response equipment according to operational needs;
Cooperate in ship connection activities;
Upon his supervisor’s request, drive emergency and service vehicles;
Conduct the inventory of equipment found in the emergency and service vehicles and keeps it in good order;
Perform prevention rounds and patrols;
Signal unusual situations and take action;
Act as a resource person in the work permit issuing process;
Cooperate in opening and closing the gas network;
Perform surveillance during work for transferring fuel or hazardous materials;
Participate in the exercises and training offered in order to keep your skills and knowledge up to date;
Perform any other related task upon his supervisor’s request.
Required Skills & Knowledge for this role include but are not limited to the following :
Possess a DEP in Fire Safety Intervention or any other training with a relevant experience.
Work experience in the industrial sector (asset).
Be able to work under pressure.
