Responsibilities :

  • Maintain Current Documentation
  • Assumesole responsibility for all customer-facing end-user product documentation for Fujitsu Software and
  • Hardware Product Operations group.
  • Update currently-available documents based on formal and informal requests, and maintain existing legacydocumentation as required.
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts including Mechanical / Hardware Engineers / Techs and work with SQA team members at lab stations, to research, observe, and validate new features to be documented
  • Proofread, perform copy editing and reformatting of documents from other sources, ensuring corporate and group standards are met.
  • Follow established documentation release procedures and work with various teams to develop new procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain information related to the current documentation, issue document release notifications, maintain writing and nomenclature standards, and assist with wording, general grammar, and other language-related requests.
  • Create New End-User and Internal Documentation
  • Create new documents, and create and maintain templates as needed. Documentation includes Feature Reference Guides, User Guides, Integration Manuals, Release Notes, Factsheets, Hardware Installation Guides, Service Manuals, Support Planning Guides, Maintenance Manual, and other technical documentation for hardware and software, as well as some customized stand-alone documentation for corporate clients.
  • Plan layouts and topic flows, design visual aids to accompany text as appropriat
  • Work on miscellaneous projects that might involve technical writing skills and expertise for any party as requeste
  • Maintain Internal Document Repositories
  • Maintain the internal SharePoint and U-Scanipedia web sites. Be the in-house reference for locating all types of documents and information stored on the various servers.
  • Adhere to Company Policies
  • Become familiar with the Fujitsu Technology and Service Vision, Agile DevOps, and other corporate requirement
  • Participate in required training; consider pursuing optional ongoing training
  • Qualifications :

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications; experience dealing in a relaxed and pleasant manner with a wide range of staff both in-person and remotely
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows. Asset : familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Illustrator
  • Knowledge of current technological developments and trends in the area of expertise
  • Ability to write, edit, and / or revise a range of technical communications from specifically compiled raw data
  • Skill in collecting, analyzing, verifying, and manipulating research data. Skill in developing design and layout of materials to be published.
  • Knowledge of instructional design techniques and adult learning principles
  • Familiarity with VSTS or other project tracking database systems and Scaled Agile development methods
  • Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of professional staff in the area of specialty
  • Bilingual, English and French. Ability to write to a high standard in US English, and to write and speak French fluently
  • Education and / or Work Experience :

  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, etc.)
  • 10 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Experience working with teams and also working independently
  • Assets : experience developing web sites or managing web content, experience with data management system

  • Duties might involve some level of traveling. Valid passport and driver's license are preferred.
