Rogers Media is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and personable individual to oversee Promotional activity of the Toronto Market and National Promotions, for the Rogers Radio Network.
This position is located out of our Toronto office and reporting to the Director of Marketing, Radio & Broadcast Brands.
The position will require someone who is able to work some flexible hours and will attend major station and clients’ promotional events.
The National Promotions Director will be focused on developing and executing the national promotions and contesting plan across Rogers Radio Network, as well as designing and developing best-in-class promotional ideas for the Toronto market.
The position requires a strong leader with ability to balance a strategic customer first’ mindset and exceptional execution.
They must also have excellent collaboration skills and an ability to influence cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities :
Generate best-in-class ideas and promotions for the Toronto market
Proactively strategize, develop and execute national promotions and contesting across Rogers Radio brands
Strategically define goals in order to enable the team to shape and execute on tactical plans
Drive Commercial Programming and Integrations to meet Toronto targets and assist nationally
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Music labels
Regularly interact with Marketing, Programming, Sales and other key departments
Maintain national promotional calendar and communicate with key stakeholders
Help maintain inventory of all promotional assets and staffing requirements
Attend all major station promotions and designated client promotions as required
Attend and participate in regular internal and occasional external meetings as required
Provide regular event feedback, including post-campaign reports
Coach and manage Toronto promotional staff, including part-time team members
Budget planning and management, including overseeing local market and national promotions teams
Ensure efficient day to day operations of the Toronto promotions team
Other duties as assigned by Marketing Director
8-10 years experience and demonstrated ability to deliver customer first promotions
University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Brand Management or Communications will be considered favourably
Previous Promotions experience in a major market is a must
Excellent knowledge of Toronto radio is a must
Strong understanding of the music industry is a plus
Creative thinker with a proven track record of developing innovative promotional plans
Demonstrated ability to build a consistent brand experience
Must be able to take initiative and work collaboratively with other departments
Demonstrated ability to build a high-performance team
A leader who enables and inspires their own team, as well as teams that don’t report directly to the person, to do their best work
Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire and passion to succeed
Ability to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays
Must hold a valid Ontario G Class driver’s license.
