Your opportunity

Our Mount Forest office is looking for an Accounting Technician / Administrative Assistant to join the Assurance & Accounting team and own the following responsibilities :

  • Accurate and efficient preparation of bookkeeping and payroll
  • Preparation of regular external filings such as HST and T4's
  • Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist clients with accounting software, bookkeeping, and data entry as required
  • Supporting our Workday processing including billings, collections and deposits, entering and applying payments, printing and mailing or emailing client invoices
  • Assist with seasonal tax duties such as preparing tax packages, filing, scanning, etc as required
  • Provide other clerical support as requested, including reception coverage

  • Your experience and education

  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years previous related experience
  • You possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • You have the ability to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
  • You are proficient with Accounting Software such as Simply Accounting and QuickBooks; experience with CaseWare / CaseView or Tax Prep is an asset
