Our client in Mississauga is seeking a Commercial Business Analyst to join their team permanently. The successful candidate will be maintaining existing and future data sets, daily, weekly and monthly reports as well as driving insights through further ad-hoc analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the accuracy, quality & timeliness of all fixed / ad hoc reporting and dashboards.
Responsible for the facilitation and recommendation of implementing all Yield and Pricing management for key clients. This includes all analysis of performance, trends, price points, price demand elasticity’s and impact analysis.
In coordination with management and clients prepare projections of revenue and bookings based on numerous variables and data assumptions.
Build new reports and dashboards to a high standard for distribution to local and senior management as well as key clients.
Maintenance of pricing tables, pricing structures and hierarchies, data cleansing, quality control, and account securities.
Analyse market dynamics, pricing trends and research and log all findings, update competitor database and special events tracker in system.
Be one of the key points of contact on-site for users and technical questions on the Bi-Tool.
Qualifications and Experience
A Level Economics / Maths / BSC Computer Science or equivalent.
2 years of experience in a business intelligence or revenue / yield management role.
Preferable or similar experience in OLAP tools such as IBM Cognos / TM1, SAP, Hyperion, Oracle, MS objects, Power Bi, Cognos Analytics, Qlik, Tableau.
Advanced level in Excel.
Experienced in analyzing, manipulating, reviewing and constructing large amounts of data.
Ability to use various tools and data sets as a base to provide recommendations on yield management and pricing.
Able to present information using Microsoft PowerPoint, business intelligence dashboards and reports.
Strong communication with the ability to clearly articulate analytics internally and to clients.
