The Role at NFP

We’re growing our P&C specialty team in Canada across industries, products and programs. We’re looking for several Sr. Account Executives to interact with clients on a day-to-day basis while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives.

They will prepare applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of assigned clients with some degree of supervision and approval from their Supervisor.

This role may require the employee to take on the role of lead consultant and primary point of contact for their assigned clients.

The Sr. AE may have revenue goals and / or client retention targets.

Knowledge, Skills and / or Abilities :

  • Ability to quickly learn business model and value proposition
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Must obtain and maintain appropriate licenses
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Education and / or Experience :

  • BA / BS preferred (or relevant industry credentials)
  • Typically, more than 15 years of industry and / or product line experience
  • Proven success working in a consultative role with major accounts
  • Transportation, Power, Utilities, Mining and / or Energy experience
  • A focus on large and complex Property and / or Casualty placements
  • Proven track record in managing large and complex accounts
  • Experience managing teams and a track record of mentorship towards less senior employees
  • Experience with international wholesale markets (i.e. London, Bermuda etc.)
