Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Business Performance & Insights, the Senior Data Analyst will support the Financial Solutions line of business (LOB) to ensure that relevant, actionable / insightful metrics and trends are identified and reported to key stakeholders and / or business unit leader’s thereby ensuring information is presented accurately and in a clear, concise and business-relevant manner.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing data analytics products for the Financial Solutions line of business (LOB) business with a strong focus on visualization through the dashboard.
As an expert in data and data visualization, the incumbent will take a significant role in supporting the Financial Solutions verticals in data visualization products.
The incumbent will also participate in the delivery of other data products, enhancement of data quality and coverage, and enhancement of the quality and accuracy of the products delivered by the Data Analytics team.
What will you be doing
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing data visualization products for the FS Business.
support development of new and enhanced reporting; reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business. Tableau Administration including user setup and access management.
Acquiring more and better data, enhancing data quality and coverage
Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to Tableau and reporting and escalating issues to the appropriate departments as needed.
Ensuring that you are using your time wisely and allocating the appropriate time to each core task. Prioritizing your work with assistance from your Manager.
Having re-usable processes in place that can be tweaked to include or exclude variables over time will cut down on time spent on rebuilding queries.
Clearly identifying why any published data point is useful / required. Nee to be able to show the data in a way that the stakeholder will care about or find useful.
You need to understand your audience and build visuals that will help tell a story.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, Mathematics or Computer Science
3+ years working experience in data analytics, statistics or quantitative analysis
Proven experience in designing and developing data visualization tools
Proven experience in data mining, evaluation, and analysis
Experience in data models and reporting packages and analyzing big data
