    As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will fuel results through :


  • Support the organization in becoming future-ready by anchoring to the GSC Strategic Plan
  • Through strong understanding of our industry, how we operate and finance principles, engage in informed recommendations and decision making on client matters
  • Partner with leaders to set up the appropriate operating model and structure for GSCs unique, yet inter-connected businesses : Health Insurance, Health & Benefits Administration and Health Services delivery
  • Lead talent assessments and proactively advocate for development, upskilling, reskilling and source new talent, with a digital first mindset
  • Lead strategic talent management and other talent management initiatives to select and develop key talent to ensure strength in our pipeline for senior level and critical roles
  • Provide strategic leadership and practice a collaborative approach in labour relations, including collective bargaining
  • Foresee any union relation implications and contribute to the overall labour relations strategy

  • Act as a change agent and a strategic partner for the business on organizational, people, and change-related issues to set priorities, drive value, and deliver business results

  • Lean in on technology and data that tells a story; spot trends and assess talent health

  • Partner with management to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, building morale, and mitigating unwanted turnover

  • Proactively seek out current and future challenges that will impact talent in the organization and coach leaders and key stakeholders with effective advice and action planning
  • Empower leadership to manage through people matters in the organization
  • Stay current on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to guide leaders and ensure compliance
  • HR Management

  • Continue to learn and develop in the many evolving disciplines within HR, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee and union relations, etc.
  • Engage in stakeholder management and develop strong networking across the organization
  • Lead projects through strong project management principles and delivery
  • Translate business priorities and outcomes through strong communication and presentation skills
  • Lead and develop HR talent through direct and indirect reporting relationships

    You’rea progressive HR leader that is adventurous, innovative, able to move at thespeed of light, with a digital mindset, and interested in using your HR skillsto evolve the way we achieve goals.

    You’ll also bring to the table :

  • Post-secondary education in business and / or human resources management
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in a progressive, Human Resources leadership role with experience working in a unionized environment
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience as a change agent
  • High energy and ability to work independently
  • Track record of building effective relationships and partnering with stakeholders in a highly collaborative manner (GSC Leadership, Union partners, and employees) to build consensus and assure achievement of goals
  • Inclusive leadership approach and a high value on diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace
  • Ability to occasionally travel

    While not required, we would love itif you also had :

  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP or CHRL)
  • Bilingualism (English / French)
  • Experience in the health insurance industry
  • This position is available at any of our GSC locations, but preference will be given to candidates in Windsor and Toronto
