POSITION DETAILS

As a Claims Associate, you will provide claim assistance to clients in our Colwood team. We are seeking an individual with strong attention to detail and enjoys a fast pace work environment to join our Willowbrook (Langley) in a Regular Full Time position.

Our Willowbrook branch is our newest and second largest office centrally located near Willowbrook Shopping Centre and other restaurants and shops nearby.

The hours of work for this position are currently Monday to Friday, 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing claim assistance including; opening new claims, collecting and processing information, mailing out settlement cheques, and other claims related duties as required

Answering incoming phone calls, providing basic information regarding the Replacement Cost coverage, finance plans and claims procedures

Finance plans including; quality control, liaising with Aviva regarding changes or errors, responding to enquiries

Addressing referrals for policies issued off POS system when needed

Organizing and mailing dealer referral fee cheques, supplies and notices

Assisting in batching of Colwood certificates for all Hub TOS locations

Assisting in invoicing, bordereaux production for all Colwood brokers

Scanning and logging of all batches

Issuing endorsements

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

As a successful candidate you will possess the following characteristics :

Fast and accurate word processing and data entry, especially with numbers

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong basic mathematical aptitude, problem solving ability

Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

Superior computer skills

REQUIREMENTS

Level 2 General Insurance License or working towards preferred

1-2 years’ experience working in claims environment

Insurance industry experience considered an asset

Strong abilities in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook

EPIC experience an asset

Department Claims Management

Required Experience : 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel : No Travel Required
