Waddington North America (WNA)
Position Summary :
The VP Sales is directly responsible for leading WNA’s Canadian sales organization responsible for driving sales in the food service and food processor channels.
Externally, he or she will establish long-term relationships with key business partners (end users, distributors and other channel partners) to grow sales, enhance profitability, and enhance market position.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities :
Oversee food service, food packer / processor and national account sales teams in the Canadian market
Lead the Canadian sales team to achieve the business objectives of share and volume growth by maintaining and increasing business with existing customers and through developing new sales opportunities.
Develop, administer and maintain a comprehensive sales plan and budget for accounts managed by the Canadian sales team.
Oversee sales compensation for the team.
Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all sales initiatives, marketing programs and activities.
Integrate and align sales strategies with available talent, processes, information systems, and other areas to increase sales force capability and success.
Work closely with the Canadian pricing team to establish a regular and systematic review process to update pricing across WNA Canada’s growing portfolio across Canada.
Work closely with the marketing team to effectively develop and launch new products and provide insight on the unique requirements for the Canadian market
Work closely with the Eco Products team in representing their products effectively in the Canadaian market.
Ensure that customer’s service level expectations are being met and / or exceeded.
Participate as a key member on WNA Canada’s Executive team in order to ensure proper steering of the company’s strategic goals, objectives and policies.
Candidate Requirements :
4 year college degree from an accredited institution; masters in business administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.
15+ years of sales experience with minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role in Sales.
Sales experience, Managerial experience, knowledge of thermoformed plastics business and familiarity with the bakery, grocery, and foodservice market segments within North America is a requirement.
Demonstrated experience in successfully and consistently driving sales growth across multiple channels and market segments.
Experience in managing large distributed sales teams to deliver stretch objectives.
Proven leader and team player with outstanding communication skills.
Strong analytic and financial acumen is imperative.
Effective presentation and public speaking skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
Must be authorized to work in Canada
