The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining ahigh level of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation including, but not limited to,cleaning all dishes, utensils, silverware, and restaurant equipment.
The rolerequires knowledge of food safety and sanitations standards and protocols.
Functions (Purposeand Responsibilities)
Managing the dishwashing processincluding starting-up and running the industrial dishwashing machines;
Wash all kitchen equipment includingplates, glasses, and cutlery;
Assist in sorting all kitchendeliveries;
Maintain the kitchen cleanliness andsanitation;
Organize work areas as well asstorage areas;
Maintain a high standard of safetyand sanitation as governed by standards and protocols;
Communicate with kitchen staff,cooks, sous chefs, and the executive chef;
Activelyparticipate in safety programs and follow polices;
Follow instructions as directed bysupervisors, sous chefs, and the executive chef;
All other duties as assigned.
Theideal candidate will have the following background :
Knowledgeof industrial dishwashing equipment is preferred;
Ability tofollow and give instructions;
Ability tohandle multiple tasks at once and prioritize effectively;
Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills.
High schooldiploma is considered an asset.
