The EDI Analyst (EDA) is a key contributor to designing, developing, testing and implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) within the Continuous Improvement (CI) department.
The EDA is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are properly executed, including development, change requests and integration projects.
The EDA is also responsible for resolving issues / problems, answering customer questions and identifying patterns or trends with problems and recommends prompt solutions.
As a member of Bison’s overall Systems group the EDA is committed to providing quality solutions through delivery of timely changes to, and complete support of, existing tools and processes.
Specific Responsibilities include :
EDI mapping, setup of partners, and testing / implementing new customers within the EDI system
Reviewing, analyzing, and coordinating service modifications of current accounts, ensuring EDI compliance.
Monitor support queue daily for EDI errors.
Resolve errors on EDI application and maintain compliance with trading partners.
Document errors and work towards issue resolution.
Respond to internal and external research request.
Work with trading partners to transition specific EDI documents, partner setups and processing requirements.
Map specific EDI documents using provided customer specifications.
Troubleshoot EDI document processing errors and work with trading partners directly to resolve in a timely matter.
Work with third party EDI providers as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate will possess :
1+ years of EDI experience (setup, mapping, testing, processing, troubleshooting).
Experience with the following transaction standards is a must : 204, 210, 214, 864, 990 and 997.
Experience with the following transaction standards is an asset : 309, 350 and 355.
Working knowledge of EDI configuration and solutions.
Working knowledge of file transfer protocols; VAN, FTP, SFTP and AS2.
Knowledge of EDI Formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, QUALEDI, flat files, and CSV’s).
Ability to read and interpret raw EDI files.
Report Writing (SSRS, Crystal, Power Pivot, PowerBI, SQL).
Ability to document standard operating procedures and best practice to support environment of continuous improvement.
Reliable and highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a part of a collaborative team.
Technical and non-technical (user) troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong supportive team player.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, external contacts.
