Financial Analyst, Reporting
Plays an integral role in financial analysis and reporting cycles to support business decision making. Works closely with Finance, Business Development, Sales and P&G and provide meaningful financial analysis to support the month end close process.
Ensures accuracy of all data reported in the financial reporting systems (Oracle) and other operational reporting systems such as Horizon (order entry and fulfillment system).
As our Financial Analyst, you’ll :
Perform month-end system close process, data entry, and work with cross functional teams to resolve issues
Responsible for reconciling intercompany transactions and maintaining continuity schedules
Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, including preparations of journal entries, GL account reconciliations, and variance analytics on SG&A accounts
Prepare information required and liaise with the external auditors for annual audits
Work closely with the Finance team as well as the business units to ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
Support Planning team in preparation of annual budget & forecast of SG&A accounts
Document and maintain existing reporting procedures
Identify areas of process improvement, in partnership with all relevant stakeholder groups on an ongoing basis
Ad hoc projects as required
Provide direct assistance with drafting enterprise wide accounting policies, development of enterprise risk management processes and maintaining internal controls framework
As our ideal candidate you’ll also have :
Post-secondary degree in business or accounting and / or 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
Previous experience with ERP system is preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong intermediate level computer knowledge, specifically in MS Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills and time management
Able to meet tight deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
Able to work past scheduled hours due to deadlines, month or year-end requirements
Knowledge of IFRS, Intercompany and other Balance Sheet reconciliations
