Our growing company is looking for a talented and experienced forklift operator to manage workflow at our facility. The prime function of this position is to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving products.
Flexibility with scheduled workdays is required. Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
pull-out, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped.
Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
Fulfilling the orders as per companies policies.
Operates all equipment related to material disbursement.
Weekly stock counting.
Address problems with the work quality.
Ensure all material is kept in its proper location & transferred as required.
Appropriate yard organization & clean-up.
performs safety start-up checks & preventative maintenance on equipment.
Loading trucks & flat beds.
Serve as a link between subordinates and upper management
Performs daily checks on the forklifts.
Must be available to work on weekends, if needed.
Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped- 45-50 lbs lifting is required.
Some physical labor is required.
Should be able to load and unload a container.
Valid G license / car is a must / own car / transport is a must.
It's an open / outdoor yard safety boots / dress appropriately.
Qualification and Skills :
MUST HAVE A VALID FORKLIFT LICENSE.
Must have current authorization to work in Canada.
6 MONTHS TO 1 YR EXPERIENCE (an asset).
Excellent verbal and written communication & reading skills.
Be able to work both as a team & as an individual.
Punctual without any issues.
$19.00 to $23.00 / hour based on experience+ 4% vacation pay forklift operator.
