Job Description

Points is looking for a Senior Product Specialist to join our Delivery Services team for a full-time permanent position in our downtown Toronto office.

As a Senior Product Specialist, you will play a key role improving new and existing implementations of Points Loyalty Commerce Solutions.

As part of the LCR team you will help the world’s loyalty programs by configuring, customizing and deploying new solutions on their behalf.

Leveraging your outstanding attention to detail, quality and communication skills you will identify, implement, test and deploy these solutions.

Reporting to the Manager, Loyalty Commerce Solutions, the Senior Product Specialist will :

  • Participate in delivery planning and pre-sales discussions with loyalty program partners and application developers to analyze requirements, design the solution and size the effort of work.
  • Work with LCR teams to develop solutions based on Loyalty Program Requirements.
  • Assess the technical skills needed for LCR delivery and work with the team to ensure that they have acquired the skills needed.
  • Provide technical mentoring to the team as needed.
  • Participate in the PMO initiatives attending the monthly meetings
  • Act as lead on specific project implementations including all stakeholder and customer communications.
  • Gather requirements by working directly with our Loyalty Program Partners & Internal Stakeholders.
  • Work with the team to ensure the solutions we deploy are of the highest quality.
  • Effectively communicate, across many channels, your progress with your team & stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in project retros ensuring that all learnings are captured in CIAs.
  • Assist the team in troubleshooting or support, where needed.
  • Work with the team on RCAs, managing the process through to resolution.
  • Run the morning scrum as needed
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ software development experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting Web Services standards and technologies (e.g. XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, JSON etc.)
  • Professional working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React
  • Angular experience is an asset
  • Experience with QA methodologies (Manual and Automated) and related tools
  • Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub
  • Experience in a managed solution or SaaS environment
  • Excellent communication skills. Not afraid to speak with all areas of the business internally and externally
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
