If you have a love for Social Work, we have a career opportunity that will allow you to draw on your clinical skills as you provide social work services in the Emergency Department of East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C.
This is a permanent part time position (0.52 FTE. The position will work a rotating schedule of evenings and weekends, and holidays as required, from 13 : 00 to 21 : 00 and 08 : 00 to 20 : 00 hours.
The rotation allows for 7 days off in a row every few weeks.
What Will You Work On?
In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families.
Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self-management.
As the Social Worker you will be responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population.
This position works as a Social Worker as part of the Emergency Department team. The Social Worker is asked to assess patients for mental health, substance use and social needs.
As well, the Social Worker supports individuals and families experiencing crisis events.
