  • Conduct training needs assessments, identify gaps and present recommendations.
  • Provide consultative and advisory support to the business in the area of training and development.
  • Design, develop and implement development programs relating to organizational needs.
  • Review and update existing training programs ensuring the alignment with the overall strategic objectives and talent strategies.
  • Research and apply a variety of learning technologies and methodologies to address development needs.
  • Evaluate learning solutions; including in-house and third party training programs.
  • Provide input and support in the design and implementation of HR programs, such as career development, mentoring, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Use data analytics and metrics to identify the needs of the organization, in prioritizing solutions against business outcomes and measuring program effectiveness.
  • Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Education or related field (diploma, certificate or degree) combined with 3 to 5 years' of experience in human resources, talent management or training and development.
  • An equivalent combination of directly related post-secondary education and experience may be considered.

  • Knowledge in the areas of adult learning and instructional design theory and application.
  • Experience providing advisory service to the business in the area of training and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education or related field.
  • Post-secondary education in Adult Learning.
  • Human Resources or training experience in unionized environment.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
