What you’ll do

As a senior subject matter expert for network security, you will be expected to provide services in the following areas :

  • Assisting the Service / Product Owner in the delivery of network security services to continue to mature the services strategy, capabilities, techniques, processes embracing the Agile methodology and associated toolsets.
  • Creating, optimizing, and maintaining security policies for network-based, host-based, and cloud network and firewall technologies and all associated security features.
  • Creating, optimizing, and maintaining security policies for web application firewalls and all associated security features.
  • Implementing and optimizing VPN services for third party integration or corporate remote work.
  • Configuring and maintaining AAA policies on network access control technologies.
  • Configuring and maintaining multi-factor authentication technologies.
  • Configuring and maintaining firewall configuration monitoring and policy automation technologies.
  • Analyzing the team’s current technology portfolio, implementing and providing solutions to further enhance the security posture of the technology portfolio and aligning configurations to established industry frameworks.
  • Participating in annual audit activities : information gathering for annual assessments, solutioning and configuration optimizations and remediations, evidence attestations, and documentation and updates.
  • Lifecycle management of technologies including patching, capacity planning, replacing aging platforms
  • Providing on-call support of the team’s technology portfolio, on a rotating basis, to triage and resolve issues.
  • Being a champion for automation and DevSecOps to bring efficiency to the team’s processes and technologies.
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation
  • Develop security processes and procedures and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained
  • Participate in projects and work with the Project team to support ongoing activities and project deliverables

  • What you’ve done

  • Deployed or worked with complex deployments of firewall and network technologies, next-generation security features, and Network and Host Microsegmentation
  • Been responsible for creating, troubleshooting, and optimizing web application firewall policies.
  • Participated in major cloud deployments and implementation of cloud network security technologies.
  • Adopted DevSecOps methodologies to develop automation with security technologies.
  • Working knowledge of common programming languages and scripting.
  • Gained broad understanding of the many different areas of cybersecurity and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Trained for or possessing industry recognized certificates such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC GSEC (or above), Security+.
  • Trained for or possessing technology certifications such as PCNSA (or above), F5 (ASM), Microsoft Azure Security, CCNA (or above), Palo Alto.
