Learn more atJob Description : Provide skilled mechanical repair services to ensure plant assets reliably deliver their design capacity.
Principal Accountabilities : Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on plant assets, including equipment rebuilds, asset replacement, and lubrication duties as assigned.
Perform corrective maintenance on plant assets resulting from preventative maintenance issues as they arise.Support plant safety and food safety programs.
Respond to unexpected breakdowns and perform critical repairs as required.Stainless steel fabrication.CMMS data entry / inventory cycle counts.
Required : Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending / stooping, climbing ladders, open / close valves, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.
Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.Must be able to read / write English.High School diploma or Equivalent.Basic computer skills.
Ability to work overtime.Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations.
At least 2 years of experience in production related work.Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright certification.At least 2 years of working experience post Red Seal certification within an industrial maintenance environment.
Preferred : Able to perform physical job duties including shoveling.Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding pipe fitting and fabrication.
Forklift certified.Strong problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills.Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a high performing teamTwo years’ experience working in a food processing environment.
